The Scholarship Program has a variety of scholarships available to all teacher education students across campus, including majors within the College of Education. Scholarships offered to students are awarded by the Council for Teacher Education, the Office of the Dean, and departments within the College of Education in conjunction with the Financial Aid Office and the Illinois State University Foundation. Application criteria vary. The amounts and number of awards vary due to fund balances and annual endowment earnings.
Unless otherwise noted, the application period is March 1-31 of each year.
FERPA Waivers: In order to consider your scholarship application(s), the College of Education must receive a completed FERPA Waiver by March 31. Only one form per applicant is necessary, regardless of the number of awards you are applying for. You are free to elect not to grant any of the permissions listed on the form; however, you still must submit a form. Please scan a copy of your completed, signed form, and email it to TEScholarships@ilstu.edu. Please format the subject line of the email as follows: FERPA Waiver - [STUDENT NAME] - [UNIVERSITY ID NUMBER].
