Inclusion Best Practices
The following are two recommended resources:

2. Department of Education in the Canadian Province of New Brunswick
"In her review of research on inclusion, Zeph (1994) identified six values commonly associated with developing successful inclusion models and establishing a sense of school community: respect for diversity, recognition of gifts and talents for all, ability to listen and understand before trying to be understood, spirit of cooperation, desire and ability to collaborate, and ability to establish a positive climate" (p. 319).
The Department of Education in the Canadian Province of New Brunswick has established a set of beliefs and principles for inclusive education:
1. All children can learn.
2. All children attend age-appropriate regular classrooms in their local schools.
3. All children receive appropriate educational programs.
4. All children receive a curriculum relevant to their needs.
5. All children participate in co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
6. All children benefit from
cooperation among home, school and community.
