Create new surveys

Create surveys with Select Survey: For best functionality, please use Mozilla Firefox.

Setting multiple owners

  • There can be multiple owners of a survey. To set this, under the General tab in the survey Options area in the Owners field, add each ULID separated by a semi-colon. The co-owner must have access to Select Survey too. Do not add spaces anywhere in the list.

Using the data

  • Data collected from the surveys can be exported into Excel and SPSS.
  • Before sending a survey out, please test the survey and make sure that the data collected is in an usable format that will not require too much manipulation.

How to share the link to your survey

  • The best way to share the link to your survey is to hyperlink it in a Web page. The URLs created by Select Survey are very long. When embedding them in an email, some email clients will break the URL and when your survey respondents click the link, the Web browser will render a bad page. Some respondents may think the survey is not available.
  • If you decide you must send the link to the survey in an email message, Illinois State email servers limit the number of recipients in an email to 99. To send to more than 99 people, a special request must be submitted. Please email us for assistance.
